Aikido of Fresno officially opened as a full time dojo in January, 1994. The dojo had evolved from an informal club that had been operating in the Fresno area for over 15 years.

The dojo, located in Fresno's Tower District, is a beautiful facility with a traditional Japanese atmosphere. Aikido of Fresno is affiliated with the California Aikido Association and the Aikikai World Foundation in Tokyo, Japan.
